Joseph Ernst Domond was born in Port-au-Prince on July 3, 1969. At a very young age, he showed a remarkable gift for drawing. Besides the brush, the knife was the medium he used. Joseph Ernst Domond did his artistic studies at the National School of the Arts (ENARTS) École Nationale des Arts. He began painting in 1980, influenced by Jacques Ernst Domond has exhibited his works in places such as the Queens Museum, Museum of Contemporary African Diaspora Art (MOCADA), Duke University, Harvard University, Black Expo, Caribbean Arts Gallery (Boston).
